Body fluids in art

Idea one  Title: Manneken Pis Background: Manneken Pis is a landmark small bronze sculpture in Brussels, depicting a naked little boy urinating into a fountain's basin. It was designed by Hiëronymus Duquesnoy the Elder and put in place in 1618 or 1619. The current statue dates from 1965. Make a symbolic replica of the statue/fountain that literally pees pee. Problematics/ Questions: The original statue is made of bronze, too expensive. What you been a material it's made off? How much should it be similar to the statue - how much should it be just a symbolic gesture? And the sculpture be present at this video? Images: Idea two Title: Urinating “Hopefully, you already know that it is not socially acceptable or legal to urinate outside. In extreme situations, though, you might be faced with no other choice than to pee in public. Perhaps you are stuck in a traffic jam on a crowded highway and are miles away from the closest bathroom. Rosemary and Asparagus

Image
Rosemary Rosmarinus officinalis, commonly known as rosemary, is one of the most commonly grown herbs in the garden. It is a decorative herb originating from the Mediterranean and bears small, blue or white flowers in late spring. It is a fantastically versatile herb in the kitchen, sprigs of rosemary can be added to roast vegetable and to meats. Rosemary is an evergreen, perennial plant that thrives in good soil in full sun. It is a hardy plant and will live for up to twenty years, growing to a height of around 1m. It requires minimal attention throughout the growing season.  It is native to the Mediterranean and Asia, but is reasonably hardy in cool climates. It can withstand droughts, surviving a severe lack of water for lengthy periods. Forms range from upright to trailing; the upright forms can reach 1.5 m (5 ft) tall, rarely 2 m (6 ft 7 in). The leaves are evergreen, 2–4 cm (0.8–1.6 in) long and 2–5 mm broad, green above, and white below, with dense, short, woolly hair.

Idea one  Title: Soldier Cookies Key Words: soldiers, war, peace, game, toys, comedy, bitter, sweet, fight, cookie dough, activated charcoal, medicine, cure, salvation, fragility, masochism, sex, tragedy.. Problematics/ Questions: idea maybe to simple and clear, needs supported by presentation. How to present? Toys soldiers too small, need to be enlarged. How big should they be? Should they be 3-D or 2-D? 3-D can be seen as a sculpture/ toy. 2-D would look more as a cookie and has more of a drawing characteristics, which is not necessary bad. This project can be presented on a small platform/ pedestal made out of styrofoam, so to emphasise absurdity and bring more of an art object feel to the cookies. Should it be one soldier on the pedestal or a couple?  Images: Idea two Title: Food Drawing/s Key Words: food, drawing, traces, garbage, mess, dumpster diving, ecology, reusability, repurpose, respect, disrespect, overload, puke, desir

Ok, Good, So, Hi whoever you are, if you're reading this blog you probably already met me, maybe you like me and you want to get to know my thoughts a little better or maybe just need some reassurance that I'm not stupid / proof that thoughts do run through my head.  Still, let me give you a little perspective on who I am! I'm currently 25 and I am writing this here: https://www.google.com/maps/place/199+St+Marks+Ave,+Brooklyn,+NY+11238/@40.678959,-73.969268,17z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x89c25ba676303db5:0x30f26bf24bdbc334?hl=en Google it! Someone named Sally Bozzuto forced me to write this blog and said I should focus my thoughts on Food: Bio Art.  Well what is / can be Food: Bio Art for me, I have yet to discover. Hey, Sally Bozzuto actually seems like a my kind of a person, she is one of the teachers who teach Food: Bio Art in SVA’s FA department which I'm currently on exchange with. So far we had 2 classes. First was an introduction to artists who use food as art.
